Description
The Beatbot Sora 30 Cordless Cleaner stands out for its high suction power, cordless convenience, and user-friendly retrieval design:
- Floor, Wall, Waterline & Platform Cleaning:- All-Area Coverage: Deep cleans pool floors, climbs vertical walls up to 90 degrees, scrubs the waterline, and maneuvers through shallow platforms or sun ledges down to 20 cm (8 inches) of water.
- Pro-Grade Suction: Delivers water flow of up to 429 L/min to collect leaves, hair, sand, insects and other everyday pool debris.
- Extended Battery Endurance: A 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 4 hours of floor-only cleaning, 5 hrs Eco Cleaning Mode or 4.5 hours of full-cycle cleaning (floor, walls, and waterline) on a single charge. It fully recharges in roughly 4.5 hours via a 65W fast charger.
- Smart Water-Surface Parking: When a cleaning cycle is finished or the battery drops to 12%, internal floating chambers activate. The robot automatically floats to the top and parks itself by the pool’s edge.
- One-Touch App Retrieval: Call the cleaner back to the pool edge with one tap in the Beatbot app, without using a retrieval pole.
- Automatic Water Release: With A “Smart Drain” system, it releases internal water while parked at the surface to make lifting and removal easier.
- Massive Debris Capacity: Equipped with a large 5.2-litre filter basket. It comes standard with a 150-micron filter mesh for daily debris, with an optional ultra-fine 3-micron filter upgrade available separately to capture microscopic pollen and dust.
- Intelligent Mapping: Built with SonicSense Obstacle Avoidance and 13 internal sensors (including dual ultrasonic sensors) to safely navigate pool fixtures and map out optimal S-shaped paths across the floor.
- App & Offline Control: Manage and monitor cleaning through the Beatbot app or use the cleaner’s onboard controls when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

POOL WATER COMPATIBILITY
The Beatbot Sora 30 is fully compatible with saltwater pools, provided the salt concentration remains below 5,000 ppm.
What Happens if Salt Exceeds 5,000 ppm?
If your pool’s salinity rises above the 5,000 ppm threshold, it can impact the robot in two major ways:
- Accelerated Wear and Corrosion: While the Sora 30 uses high-grade, water-resistant materials, excessively high salt concentrations act as a harsh corrosive. Over time, this can degrade the internal seals, metallic contacts, and the charging pins.
- Buoyancy Changes: High salt levels increase water density. Because the Sora 30 relies on precise internal floating chambers to climb walls, navigate shallow ledges, and surface at the end of a cycle, extreme water density can disrupt its calibration and navigation algorithms.
Best Practices for Saltwater Use
To protect your investment and ensure the longevity of your cordless cleaner, follow these simple maintenance habits:
- The Fresh Water Rinse: Every time you pull the Sora 30 out of your saltwater pool, thoroughly rinse the entire unit—especially the roller brushes, track wheels, charging contacts, and filter basket—with clean, fresh water from a garden hose. This prevents salt crystals from drying and crusting onto the components.
- Dry Storage: Never store the robot in direct sunlight or wet environments after a saltwater cycle. Let it dry completely in a shaded, cool area before placing it back on its 65W fast charger.
